Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

Asian Art Research Foundation (“AARF”) is committed to ensuring that artworks are handled and delivered with appropriate care.

Because artworks vary in size, value, condition, location and handling requirements, shipping arrangements may differ for each purchase.

1. Shipping Availability

Shipping availability will be confirmed based on the specific artwork and delivery destination.

AARF may offer:

  • Domestic shipping within India
  • International shipping, where available
  • Specialised artwork transportation
  • White-glove delivery for eligible artworks
  • Collection or pickup arrangements, where applicable

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs may vary depending on:

  • Artwork dimensions and weight
  • Delivery location
  • Packaging requirements
  • Insurance requirements
  • Handling requirements
  • Customs and international regulations

Where shipping charges are not displayed during the purchase process, the buyer will be contacted with the applicable shipping arrangements and costs.

3. Processing and Dispatch

Processing times may vary depending on the artwork, its location, payment confirmation, documentation and any required preparation or packaging.

An estimated delivery timeline will be communicated where reasonably possible.

Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by factors outside the control of AARF or its shipping partners.

4. Packaging and Handling

Artworks are packaged according to their individual requirements.

Special handling or professional art logistics may be used for fragile, valuable, oversized or historically significant works.

5. Insurance

Where appropriate, shipping insurance may be arranged for the artwork.

The availability and terms of insurance may vary depending on the artwork and destination. Buyers may be informed of any additional insurance costs before shipment.

6. International Shipping

International buyers may be responsible for applicable:

  • Customs duties
  • Import taxes
  • Local taxes
  • Customs clearance charges
  • Other charges imposed by the destination country

These charges are generally outside the control of AARF unless otherwise specifically agreed.

Buyers are responsible for ensuring that the artwork may legally be imported into their destination country.

7. Delivery Inspection

Upon receiving an artwork, the buyer is encouraged to inspect the package and artwork carefully.

If visible damage is discovered, the buyer should document the condition with photographs and contact AARF as soon as possible.

8. Delays and External Circumstances

AARF is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, shipping carriers, weather conditions, regulatory restrictions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

9. Shipment Status

Specific shipping and tracking information will be provided where available.

Certain high-value or specialised shipments may be handled through private logistics arrangements and may not follow standard courier tracking procedures.
